I credit Julie Morelli (studiomate/favorite person) for introducing me to a league of Chicago ladies who are as wonderfully kind as they are talented & sharp. Jourdan Fairchild is the cream of the crop, and I was so excited to collaborate on her new e-book of travel crafts.

Julie and I shared two breakfast dates with Jourdan this spring. The first immediately followed the loss of her job as Chicago editor when Daily Candy unexpectedly shuttered, we ate waffles at the Winchester and Jourdan told us she was traveling to Africa with Watering Malawi. Girl wasted no time getting back in the swing of things. Over bagels no more than two months later, Jourdan shared highlights from the trip and her plan for releasing an e-book of travel-inspired crafts.

Fast forward to the end of July (really, it was so speedy), and Jourdan and her photographer Carolina released Fly DIY, a polished e-book of 12 inexpensive and innovative DIY's. I was delighted to contribute a number of cheeky lettered phrases for a temporary tattoo transfer project and the cover title. So proud of these ladies and their hustle!

Purchase your copy here and get craftin. 10% of each copy benefits water projects in Malawi. I posted a bit more of the lettering here.
